Keymedia work with QCA on National Curriculum in Action Phase 3
Brighton, 15th January 2003
Keymedia has continued to develop the National Curriculum in Action website for the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA). The site is essential for the assessment of pupils' work for all National Curriculum subjects. Last year, Phase 2 of the project saw the addition of the Numeracy and Literacy Strategies. Phase 3 is currently under development and includes the addition of sections for Citizenship and Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE).
Following usability testing on the website, some revisions will be made to the search and complex search facilities. Keymedia is proud to have a strong ongoing
relationship with the QCA providing an extremely useful tool for teachers,
advisers and assessors.
Brighton and Hove police force kindly allowed one of their officers to be photographed with pupils for the website. Brighton and Hove Council lent Keymedia the use of a ballot box for shots.
Keymedia's Senior Educational Consultant Cath OddHayward said, "Involvement from the local community in supporting the presentation of these two subjects is so very appropriate. The teaching of Citizenship and PSHE in schools relates directly to young people finding their place as an individual within wider society and the responsibilities and opportunities that involves'.
